How Does This Audit Service Work?

Remote evaluation of the client’s supplier is conducted using the data collected in this question page. This information is then populated by the Merchsprout system into a bespoke check sheet and pushed to our China team. The team analyse the data and recommend if there is enough data to start the audit.

A validation email is provided to the client, with an invoice and a timing plan of the first visit and details of how we push forwards together as a team. 

Distance Audit Document And Report:

The Merchsprout China team then conduct an initial distance audit of the supplier, building the initial report; this is then shared with the client. This report weighs the supplier on 3 key metrics, and (where possible) compiles the essential licences of the factory then distributes with the client.

On-Site Visit:

The Merchsprout assessment team will follow up with an onsite visit at the supplier’s facility, this ensures that the information provided in the distance audit document is genuine.

The team will then conduct an in facility audit using Merchsprout’s unique check system. It analyses the supplier using a point-based examination. 

Point-Based System:

The Merchsprout point-based system is an audit checking tool developed using LEAN automotive manufacturing techniques. This analyses manufacturers capability, cleanliness and ability to produce components correctly, and repeatedly. The output of this document is compiled into an easily read report that accurately records and highlights areas of weaknesses and improvements.

Testing Current Suppliers Samples:

If required a Merchsprout expert will arrange the shipping and testing of current production samples, with a points-based quality control report being compiled.

Workforce Assessment:

Within the Merchsprout checksheet; workforce training and competence is captured. The report allows you to gain a good FULL understanding of supplier capability and capacity.

What Do You Get?

Within days you will receive an impartial report with the information found in our remote audit and our first initial visit. We discuss the findings that were noted in the report. The change plan detailed and control plan developed. Working with the supplier Six Sigma workstreams are advised and bottlenecks are highlighted. We then work to achieve the resolutions. The report is yours to keep.
